Already have a license?

Paste your license key (sent to your email when you signed up).

A long alphanumeric string with hyphens — paste it exactly as we emailed it.

Welcome to Darvy

Your 3-day trial is active.

Save your license key somewhere safe — you'll need it the first time you launch Darvy. We also emailed it to you.

Treat this like a password — anyone with the key can activate Darvy on one machine.

Copied to clipboard.

Pick your installer below to finish setup. A Darvy.license file has also been saved to your Downloads folder — Darvy will find it automatically on first launch, so you usually won't need to paste the key anywhere.

Activate Darvy

Activate Darvy: only works AFTER you've installed Darvy on this machine. It opens the app with your key pre-loaded. If nothing happens, install Darvy first using the platform button below.

Download license file: a 1-line Darvy.license file containing your key. We try to auto-download this when you land here, but if your browser or antivirus blocked it, click to grab it manually. Darvy scans your Downloads folder on first launch and reads the key automatically.

Download Darvy

Download Darvy for Windows.

Mac version is coming soon. Your license will work on both when Mac launches — no separate purchase needed.

Darvy for Windows

System requirements: Windows 10 (version 1903 or newer) or Windows 11. 64-bit only.

NSIS installer, 64-bit only. About 460 MB.

Heads up: Windows will warn you.

When you open the installer, Windows shows "Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting". This is expected — it appears for any new product whose publisher hasn't built up a reputation with Microsoft yet. Darvy is not malware. Click "More info", then "Run anyway". We're enrolling in code-signing now; future versions will install without this prompt.

Step-by-step installation with NVDA

These steps are written for NVDA users. Narrator and JAWS use similar keystrokes — the announcements may differ slightly. If anything sounds wrong, stop and email support.

  1. Find the downloaded file. Press Windows + E to open File Explorer. Navigate to Downloads (Alt + D, type Downloads, press Enter). NVDA reads "Darvy-Setup dot exe". Press Enter to launch it.
  2. SmartScreen warning may appear. Windows shows "Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting". This happens because Darvy is a new product without an Extended Validation code-signing certificate yet — it's not a virus, it's just unsigned. Press Tab to reach the "More info" link, press Enter. A "Run anyway" button now appears — press Tab to reach it, then Enter.
  3. User Account Control prompt. Windows asks "Do you want to allow this app from an unknown publisher to make changes to your device?" Press Alt + Y for Yes. This is one of the few places NVDA may go silent for a second — that's normal, the UAC prompt runs at an elevated security level.
  4. NSIS installer window opens. NVDA announces "Darvy Setup". The installer has standard buttons: Next, I Agree, Install. Press Alt + N for Next, Alt + A for I Agree, Alt + I for Install. Or just press Enter on each screen — the default focus is on the recommended button.
  5. Installation completes. NVDA announces "Installation complete". There is a checkbox "Launch Darvy" which is checked by default. Press Alt + F for Finish to close the installer and launch Darvy.
  6. Microphone permission (Windows 11 only). The first time Darvy starts a voice session, Windows asks "Allow Darvy to access your microphone?" Press Alt + Y for Yes. On Windows 10, microphone access is granted at install time so no separate prompt appears.
  7. Enter your license key. A window opens titled "Darvy — Enter License Key". The text field is auto-focused. Paste your key with Control + V or type it. Press Enter to activate. NVDA announces "Validating your license key. This usually takes a few seconds." followed by "License activated. Opening Darvy."
  8. Darvy is ready. The main window opens and NVDA announces "Darvy is ready. Press Enter to start listening." You're done.

Start menu shortcut: The installer adds Darvy to your Start menu under "D" for "Darvy". Press the Windows key, type Darvy, press Enter to launch it any time.

If something goes wrong

Email support@darvy.ai with the step number where you got stuck and what NVDA said. We get on a screen-share within an hour during weekdays and fix it together. Windows install issues are typically the SmartScreen warning (Step 2) — if you're not seeing the "More info" link, your IT department may have disabled SmartScreen overrides; email us and we'll suggest a workaround.

Darvy for Mac — coming soon

The Mac version is in the final stages. We're working through Apple Developer enrollment and notarization so the installer runs cleanly without Gatekeeper warnings.

If you bought a license now: your subscription is good for both platforms — when Mac launches, the same license key activates your Mac without a separate purchase. We'll email subscribers the moment the Mac download is live.

Want to be on the Mac launch list ahead of everyone else? Email support@darvy.ai with the subject "Mac waitlist" and we'll ping you the day it ships.

Updates

Darvy checks for updates on launch and installs them automatically in the background. You don't need to come back to this page after the first install.
