Summarize the focused or selected text. Email too long? Article too dense? Doc you don't have time to read? One hotkey gives you the gist in 2-3 seconds.

NVDA + Shift + D

Describe the screen. For when the content isn't accessible to NVDA — a chart, a scanned PDF, an inaccessible web app. Captures the screen, returns a 2-4 sentence description.

Enter your email, get an API key.

We'll email you a personal API key. Paste it into NVDA's Darvy Connect settings panel and the hotkeys work immediately. No password to remember.

Installation

Three steps after you get your key.

  1. Download the add-on. Direct link will be emailed with your API key. (Currently in private beta — your email reaches the founder, who'll send the install link manually within a few hours.)
  2. Install in NVDA. Open the .nvda-addon file. NVDA will offer to install it. Restart NVDA when prompted.
  3. Paste your API key. Open NVDA Settings (NVDA + N → Preferences → Settings). Find "Darvy Connect" in the category list. Paste the key. Save.

The hotkeys (NVDA + Shift + S, NVDA + Shift + D) work immediately. No reboot needed after setup.

Privacy

What we do (and don't) with your data.

  • Text and screenshots are sent to our API, processed by an LLM, and returned. Content is not stored.
  • Only metadata (timestamp, token counts) is logged for billing.
  • You can revoke your API key at any time by emailing support@darvy.ai.
  • Full privacy policy: darvy.ai/privacy.
